John was, I always thought, the most handsome man I had ever seen, followed by Clark Gable and Tom Selleck. Even in his latest photos, he was striking.

One of my favourite episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man, titled "The Day of The Robot", had John in it as the main character besides Lee Majors. He played Steve's tennis buddy, and also the robot that had his likeness. The fight at the end of the show was awesome.

To me, John Saxon was more than just an actor, but also a true humanitarian with some of the roles he played on film and TV. There were times when I had been bullied in school and/or when my self-esteem was at an all-time low and seeing him on TV gave me a real boost, especially when he acted as the gallant knight in shining armor in defending the rights of others on and off screen. It made me wish I had both him and another cult icon I also idolize named James Olson acting as my bodyguards in school, especially when I needed it the most. I have Asperger's syndrome and was moved to tears when I saw his release of 'God's Ears' because there was so much in that movie (next to 'Rainman' and 'Forrest Gump') I could strongly relate to and have been blessed in the sense I have a life partner and friend of 31 yrs who has been there for me and helping me reach my potential in ways I never thought were possible. The closest thing to meeting Mr ,Saxon in person was by way of a vendor I had befriended online who sells obscure films and TV shows, who told me he was going to another sci-fi convention in another city (he was aware of my crush on Saxon) and I said in a facetious manner if he happens to see Mr Saxon, please tell him there's a girl in GA who has a deep crush on him. My friend said he may not see him there, but he would keep his eyes peeled and keep in touch with me. A few months later, my vendor friend said in an email he had a surprise for me and to look out for it in the next few emails. He said he did see Mr Saxon at the show and sent me a photo of him with a personal message, which read "THANKS FOR BEING SUCH A BIG FAN, GINA-MARIA!" Even my boyfriend 'Chief' was equally impressed. I never got around to thanking him in person, but I hope he won't mind if we meet in the next life, I would love to give him a big hug and kiss of thanks! If this is one way of being on the receiving end of his affections (like the other women in his life), I accept it with all my heart. My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time....TI AMO!

John never got the credit for his many outstanding talents. He was an excellent actor who should have been recognized for awards by the industry. This handsome gentleman can now rest in peace as his journey continues on to heaven----Jane M., Austerlitz, NY

Years ago I saw John's picture in a movie magazine called Modern Screen and fell in love with him. I was 14. I saw his movie: The Reluctant Debutante and loved it. Many years later, I worked as a security Guard at Warner Brothers and he was filming a Wonder Woman episode. I went over to him and told him that at 14 I had a mad crush on him and loved his movie. He was charming. He said that at that time he was 22. He was so nice and he asked me my full name. He absolutely made my day, and I hope I made his too! Today, I have great memories of that day and I own the DVD movie of The Reluctant Debutante. Rest in Peace John. I hope heaven is beautiful for you! Such a great actor. His characters brought me hours of entertainment. His martial arts skill inspired me to take Karate and earn my Black Belt. The interviews I saw with him were such an inspiration. He was such a class kinda guy. As I search the sky at night, I will look for the new star that is his. Condolences to the family. Congratulations to the Heavens! And to think, he called Murfreesboro, Tn home, as well!
