Herman was a business associate and a golf buddy for many years. We had a lot of great times together playing golf, doing work for the National Restaurant Association, Society for Foodservice Management and lobbying on Capitol Hill. The nice thing about lobbying with Herman was that I never had to say much. He was a dynamic speaker and communicator. He was a great friend and may he rest in peace and may Gloria and his family find comfort in their memories of this great man.

He always gave thanks before ever taking his first bite of food. Always the optimist, always a genteel man, but never ostentatious. He was proud to be an American and proud OF America. An accomplished caring man. My friend i miss sharing conversations and our casual interaction. Clay Davis

I retired in December of 2009 but my old boss asked me to come to Atlanta to work for 6 month in early 2011. While there the 2012 presidential election was getting underway. I saw Herman on television and heard him on the radio. I was impressed with his conservative views and what he had to say. I was fortunate enough to attend his speech to run for president in 2012. I along with 3 or four thousand other energized people attended to hear him speak. I liked what he had to say. He embodied in my mind of what black americans could become of what my grandfather had fought for in the US civil war. My grandfather was wounded 5 times but survived the war and later moved to Kansas to become a farmer in 1876. What Herman Cain illustrated to me was what a man could become as the result of a father, mother, grandparents and family and community and a God who loved and encouraged each other. My heart grieves for his family and friends and the model he was and is to all Americans, both black and white. I love you Herman Cain and will sorely miss you as will millions of other American. We know your soul is at rest with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Herman was an instant inspiration to me when we met in 1997 at the Sagamore Resort on Lake George, NY. He has graciously attended our GM conference and knowing we were a struggling company, he came at no charge other than purchasing his book, Leadership is Common Sense, which BTW he autographed each one.
His presence was invigorating, his presentations so energetic and memorable. It prompted me to establish a weekly book club with our GMs to review the chapters of the book together.
Now while he did barely beat me
In golf and advised everyone of that later, getting to share an advanced taste of a new product to the US, called Grey Goose, in an evening of laughter, stories and education, Is never to be forgotten.
Thank You Sir for Leading the Way!

I will miss those talks with Mr. Cain, as I would address him, despite he repeatedly insisting that I call him Herman, he gave me a pass due to the explanation of "that's how my parent's taught me to address my elders". Mr. Cain lived in, and was a fellow member the Eagles Landing Country Club. Mr. Cain had a wealth of wisdom, that he was willing to share, if you were willing to listen. He was always a nice man, from the first time I met him at Bennie's Shoes in Atlanta as he was exiting with Mrs. Cain, back in 2011, to when I moved into the Eagles Landing Country Club, and we reconnected as folks in the community. He ALWAYS spoke so highly of his family, and how important they were to him, as a man. I remember on one occasion when I was at the Country Club, in the lounge, when Mr. Cain was stopping in, in order to "Come home with dinner; a pizza, and he turned to me and said, with my wife in earshot, "See, this is how you earn a get-out-the-dog-house card", We both smiled. My wife smiled and laughed. Mr. Cain was a Kind-kind soul. I will miss him, down here in Eagles Landing, but his spirit still lives on. To Mrs. Gloria, Melanie, and Vincent, Mr. Cain was a beaming example of how I want to be as a husband, and father. Thank you for sharing him with us.

I so enjoyed listening to Mr. Cain's commentary and perspective on Fox News and how we need men like him leading us. I do, however, know that our Heavenly Father is the author of our souls and know the path he wants his son, Mr. Cain to on now. We will miss him. God bless his family and friends that their hearts will be mended and peace abide.

The year Mr. Cain was born saw segregated drinking fountains, bus seats and bathrooms, along with public schools and neighborhoods. Like Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, Thurgood Marshall, Clarence Thomas and Ben Carson, he knew this life God gave us will usually turn out the way we want it to. Oh, that so many others in the land of freedom and opportunity would sit up and pay attention to the example he has lived for us. In the words of Martin Luther King Jr., "Let freedom ring"..........................

He was a powerful voice of the ages and a steadfast fighter for True Freedom and Liberty for America. He paved the way for an outsider of Donald J. Trump for President. So appreciative for this means to extend our heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Cain and all of the Cain family. Hearing of his death truly cast a pall over our day, for we knew that this world had just lost one of its brightest lights. A good man who became a great one, he never hid that light under a bushel but continued as long as life allowed to do everything he could to make this world a better place.
As conservatives, we first came to know of Herman and voted for him when he ran for the Georgia Senate seat. Though sorely disappointed by the result, we then became his staunch supporters forever. If all Americans were to cultivate Herman's optimistic, common-sense approach to every life issue, most of our nation's problems would soon disappear.
We pray that your grief be softened by glowing memories of this extraordinary husband, father, and grandfather. No praise will ever be too much to honor his life. You will be in our prayers.

He is going to be missed by so many for reasons too numerous to name here, Our prayers are with his family during this difficult time. It is a shame that he had to pass when he was so needed at this time in our country.

Herman was very accomplished and increased his talents extra well, like a good steward should, and was inspirational to me and many others.
He was an extremely rare beautiful Christian and conservative warrior who fought for our original founders values and constitution and bill of rights. I and the world will miss him! God please take care of Herman. RIP

Herman Cain was a true inspiration! If you ever heard him speak in person or on the radio, he was a person of strong conviction and passion, but he enjoyed talking with others that had differing views than him, and treated everyone with respect. His expressions and humor were so enjoyable, and he truly loved his country, his family, and his fans. He will be greatly missed.

Our sincere condolences go out to the family of Herman Cain. He was a shining example of a true patriot and a wonderful proponent of the value of the American dream. Although my wife and I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, we followed him for years on his radio and television shows and grew to know and respect him as a Christian, tremendous speaker, communicator, teacher and gentleman. He will be fondly remembered. Rest in peace Herman Cain.

Herman Cain and I met in 2004 when he ran for Georgia US Senate and I ran for Georgia State House. We would often speak on the same platforms on the campaign trail. He always spoke before me and he was such a tough act to follow. We shared the same Conservative values and relentless passion to spread the message of prosperity for anyone who would work hard and trust God to guide them. In 2011, Mr. Cain asked me to pray for him as he was about to make a decision to run for president. When he announced I shared the excitement with all how knew him like I did. He was brilliant! He was an excellent communicator! He was inspiring! He would have been a great president!

One of his ideas was to limit all bills to 3 pages in plain English so that voters would understand them. The more words, the more confusion and room for deception. I would love to see this be carried out. It is an excellent idea.

My love and prayers go out to the Cain family in this time of loss. I trust God to surround you with great joy and happy memories of this great man.

I met Herman in Greenville SC when he was CEO of the National Restaurant Association. Picked him up at the airport and took him back the next day. I worked with Cryovac a supplier of plastic packaging for the perishable food market segment. I gave Herman one of our little red Cryovac knives. Bumped into him several years later at a National Restaurant show and he pulled out that little red knife and said thanks again. He was a brilliant and decent man. He would have made a great president for our country. I will always cherish my short time with him and remember him as a great American businessman. RIP Herman. I hope you enjoyed that little red knife for many years.

Before the meeting got underway Herman said there was one person he had not met yet. The room was filled with 60 people. To my amazement Herman made his way down the aisle and stopped at the row where I was sitting. He extended his hand and with a warm smile said welcome home Larry Podsiadlo. Working in the region over the next few years you knew that Herman Cain was special and that his potential was not yet realized. He was a down to earth genuine caring human being , patriotic American that I am sorry didn't get to lead our country. Dear Cain family, I was so impressed by Mr. Cain's sincere beliefs in God and the U.S.A. I always felt he was a great human with integrity and thought he should have been President of the United States. I am sure you will miss him greatly. God be with you and your family. My prayers are with you. Just knew him from television.
