My heartfelt condolences to the family and many friends of Clifford Robinson. He was so humble and down to earth, I'll remember his days playing basketball so fondly. He inspired me to play basketball in high school. He will be greatly missed by many.

My heartfelt condolences to "The Clan"! I had the privilege of knowing & teaching Clifford @ Buffalo's Riverside High School in 1983 before I relocated to Philadelphia. As a 76ers season ticket holder, I would always look forward to when he was playing there. I had center court 3rd row seats which made access to the floor very easy.
I would always go down and say hello to him and he never once ignored or blew me off.
He always came to the sideline for a handshake & hug and asked how I was doing! He was a good man! The news of his home going makes me both sad for his family & friends and, joyful that his suffering is over. Clifford is now in the presence of The LORD. Tony B. Philadelphia, PA.

In remembrance of a Blazer legend and to send condolence to his family and loved ones,

Cliff Robinson meant a lot to me and so many others in Portland, basketball fans nationally and globally and also just as human being.

My heart is heavy with his passing, its hard sometimes to think that we've already lost 4 members of a title contending Trail blazers teams from the 1990s. These teams have long been a shining bright light on Portland's basketball heritage and history. Most players like Cliff were underdogs, they were never expected to achieve the heights they did. Cliffs motivation and dedication not only uplifted his game and potential but rose the psyche of our city.

My favorite memories of Cliff well can I say head band? Let's say he stood out out that way. Long, lanky, terrific defensive presence, great rebounder, springy athletic and able to slam with ease. Terrific shooter with range. As a kid i had my doubts to him shooting 3s but before long i started telling myself hes got that shot, its in his means , in his game. I remember a game where he and Drexler both scored 25 points and thinking it was the beginning of a duel attack for the Blazers.

Most of all, what i admired about Cliff Robinson was how he carried himself, calm and respectable demeanor, a gentleman, and someone who played his respects to Portland and the organization that gave him love. He etched a place in our hearts and left us far too soon.

He always seemed upbeat. Positive. And grateful. He fit in with the truly legendary Blazer contagious culture that HE and his teammates created! A great gift to a city that in some ways it was desperately.

I send my sincere , heartfelt , Rip City prayers to the Robinson family and gratuity to Uncle Cliff's contribution to our team and community.

RIP Clifford Robinson. I know you always hated being called "Uncle Cliffy" so I will honor you with your given name. You were always a warrior on the court, and a great human being off. You left too soon, but you shined while you were here.
