Condolence & Memory Journal

Love knows not it's own depth until the time of separation. May your Soul Rest In Peace!

Posted by Carolyn Glover - Wendell, NC - Significant Other   October 19, 2020

So many wonderful memories. Uncle G was a character that everyone loved having around. He brought joy and laughter where ever he went. I will truly miss those phone calls from him pretending to be my husband Julius. My heart is breaking that I can't be with my family during this time of sorrow. But I take comfort in knowing that Uncle G is now resting in his eternal home in his Father's house.
Rest from your labor Uncle G. I will be forever proud of your service to this country and to our Lord. I will always love you
Love and condolences to G Jr Toni and Melisha

To the Cooley family,

I was deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of my dear friend and fellow school mate, George Cooley. George was very personable and always Brough a degree of levity to the mix. You could always count on George to find some humor in whatever we were doing. I wish to honor his life and his service to the country. Like many of us who served in Vietnam, we left a part of us back there on the battlefield. George was a man of substance and I know that he will be tremendously missed by all of us who loved and respected him. So as the family carry him to his final resting place on Thursday, know that my prayers and thoughts are with you

Warmly,
Judson M. Ray

Uncle George will be missed. I always will remember him as the jokester of the family. My grandmother birthed 13 children. Uncle George was the baby of the bunch.I never understood why he always called me "Grace Jones" !! To Toni, George Jr. dad, uncle Bobby, aunt Corinna & aunt Rena, he's now resting. Sleep on uncle George, get your rest. We loved you too, but GOD loved you best. Continued prayers for all of my family & his friends.
