Tribute & Message From The Family

Lenora Atkinson Robinson was born on August 10, 1946, to the late Deacon David and Mother Sallie Atkinson. She married the late Harold Robinson Sr. in 1964 and to this union was born three children. She departed this earthly life on October 13, 2020.
She was a 1964 graduate of Forest Hill High School. She graduated from Johnston Community College with her cosmetology degree in 1992 and became the owner and operator of Nottie's Beauty Salon.
At an early age, Lenora was a member of Bentonville Disciples of Christ Church. Later she joined St. John Disciples of Christ Church where she served as a Mother, Secretary, and Sunday School Superintendent. She was the former Miss Western Assembly Queen, the Chairperson of the Hospitality Committee and the Western Assembly Queen Campaign, and the Rental Scheduling Director. She was a faithful member of Community Outreach Ministries. She was one of the many pillars of the Hickory Grove Community.

She is preceded in death by David and Sallie Atkinson (Parents), Harold Robinson, Sr. (Husband), and Jonathan, Helen, David, Robert, and Diane (Siblings).
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Bernadette Elliott (Kenneth) and Helen Robinson (aka Mookie), one son Harold Robinson Jr., and Wednesday Robinson (Sergio), the grandchild whom she raised; her grandchildren, Jordan Elliott, Brittany Robinson-Blount (Garion), Jalen Elliott, Harold Robinson III, and Keshawn Davis; great-grandchildren, Caeleb, Sydnii, and Jaekob Robinson, Sergio, Bhella, and Victor Ramirez-Robinson, Raygan Blount, Nicolas Ramirez-Robinson, and Jaxson Elliott; great-great-grandchildren, Rhylee, Caeleigh, and Caedence Robinson; her siblings, Mary Wright, Eva Roper, Alvin Atkinson (Doris), Sallie Taylor, Clarence Atkinson (Clara), Larry Atkinson, James Atkinson (Brenda), Danny Atkinson, Donald Atkinson (Deborah), Alice McClamb, Sandra Hopkins (Steve), and Kenneth Atkinson (Tessa); her sisters in law, Theresa Cannon, Elizabeth Robinson, Annie Ruth Williams (Issac) and a host of her nieces and nephews who were so special to her.

To the Atkinson/Robinson family, I am thinking of and praying for you upon the passing of Sister Lenora. I admired her for how she expressed her testimony of personally knowing Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. She not only shared her beliefs verbally about Christ. Sister Lenora expressed her fruit of love practically by sharing her wisdom, time and goods with her family and friends. I will miss her. Now she has graduated to a new life of reward with God! Sister Lenora is free of all problems and sickness. To God Be the Glory! Devonne Mitchener Friend

My condolences and support to the family of our dear cousin Lenora. We have lost a sweet and courageous woman who was a guiding light to so many. Lenora showed so much love and care to my mother Adoris Atkinson Pierce. Not only were they cousins, they were good friends. I came to know that Cousin Lenora always had words of encouragement and a song for all; even me. To her family: may the spirit of your mother, sister, aunt, and cousin continue to bless you; you have inherited a true legacy.

Nottie "as she was affectionately called" was a pillar in the Hickory Grove Community. She was loved by all she serviced in the salon hair industry. She dressed elegantly for occasions and always had her hair styled beautifully. Her family is well known to me and loved. All that she came in contact with will miss her loving spirit, her laughter, demeanor and love. God has gathered another wonderful angel into his kingdom. God rest her soul. To the family stay encouraged and keep looking up to the Saviour.

To the Atkinson Family: Words can not adequately express the loss of this wonderful beautiful woman of God. Her beauty radiated in and out and she had a comical side of her that would brighten up your day if you were said or going through. She will be greatly missed in the community, in the salon industry and in our hearts. Rest on Lenora, may God rest your soul. To the family look to God, the author and finisher our faith. God's blessings upon you.
