Condolence & Memory Journal

It's been two and a half years since Jim died and I am just now learning about it. Like me, I'm sure many others would have posted before now had they known. I owe Jim a lot for what I learned from him in the USAF. He was also my sponsor when I replaced him in Turkey. He was a great guy and I wish the best for his family. Goodbye, Jim. Thanks for all. You made a real contribution to God, country, and family in life on earth.

Dear Sharon and Jim's family,

If you don't already know, you'll soon find out what a profound impact your husband, dad, and brother had on the lives and careers of so many of us who were fortunate enough to know and work with Jim. He not only showed the way, but he also created so many opportunities for us. I'll always be thankful for his friendship, amazed by his intellect, and inspired by his humble leadership. May God rest his soul and grant you peace and consolation.

Jim, you were a good friend to us all and made our world better. You wondered "Why the blank stares?" It's because we were straining to get on your wavelength. Being around you was to always be on point -- whether in San Antonio, Pentagon, or elsewhere -- a fantastic way to live.

You'll drift in and out of thoughts for the rest of our lives and as the long years pass, we'll stop by Hillcrest to visit with someone who remains part of Life. Until we meet again...
