Condolence & Memory Journal

Mr. Kuhn, I am still trying to get together for dinner with Sharon & Bill to celebrate your life - sorry it is taking us 3 yrs to accomplish this, not becasue we are hesitant but because you raised a daughter & her friend to be very busy gals, even in our late 60's. You were a fine example to us & I am glad I was able to be there on many visits to brighten your last yrs on earth. I anted to be there for your grand send off & will be forever mad that you were taken to heaven just as I was getting back from KY & didn't see the newspaper...mad, mad, mad! I wanted to be thre for you. Mary

Some of my earliest memories are of next door neighbors Harry and Lillian, and of Sharon and Brian. The Kuhns later moved a few blocks down the street to 710 West Main Street, the house on the hill. Martha, Michael and I spent countless hours playing with Sharon and Brian and enjoying the company and guidance of their parents. Harry was always willing and eager to share his time with us, take us places in his Chevy Belair, etc. After Lillian's untimely death, Harry later married my Aunt Dot, so we were all able to remain close over the years. He was truly a fine, generous man who will be missed by all.

Mr. Kuhn, I was devastated to read of your passage to heaven on this webpage - I didn't get to say good-bye or be with you on your final journey - I am so glad I saw you ony a few days before your departure and for all the visits we've had over the past few yrs at Quincy. You were a 2nd father to me since 1st grade & you gave of your time & energy to drive us back/forth to SMGH rain, snow, fog - you were always there for me as much as for Sharon & the boys - I will miss you Mr. Kuhn - say hi to my Mom & Dad up there....Mary

I'll always remember seeing 'Pop' in the stands at our high school basketball games. We were sad to hear of his passing.

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we felt upon hearing the news concerning Uncle Harry. We will cherish the memories of the wonderful times we spent together as family. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Very sorry to hear the news about Mr. Kuhn. All of our thoughts have been with his entire family. I was married to one of his Step-Granddaughters for 18 years, Harry was never anything but kind and thoughtful for all the time I knew him. I know he will be missed greatly.

You will be missed by all that got to know you. We will treasure the painting that you gave Leah and I and think of you every time we look at it. Th kids still talk about the fun they had working with you in the yard when you had them help you built the fish pond at the other house.
