Condolence & Memory Journal

My thoughts and prayers are with you all as they have been for many months. It has been quite a process for all of you: Winnie's faith has served her well and I am sure she is basking in the glory of God.

Winnie and I were friends as teenagers, growing up in Greece. There were three of us who were always together, so much so, they called us the Three Stooges. It was Winnie, Nancy and Terry always and everywhere. Those were very special times, and Nancy and I, as well as countless others who were all close riends, will always remember Winnie, her sense of un, her caring nature, and her great spirit...ready for anything. We will always have those memories. My best wishes to all of her amily and friends, who are too many to number. May your wonderful memories keep you strong in the days of missing Winnie. Love, Terry

Dear Ed, Amy and Mark, Dale and I are so very sorry for Winnie's passing. We know how hard this is for you and how wrong it all feels. We just can't help but marvel at how strongly and gracefully Winnie fought against a disease that usually wins its battle in three months. What a fighter she was! We were so happy to have had the chance to spend time with her last June. Our love and prayers are with you and with Winnie. We wish we could be there to honor her and to say goodbye, but we will be sending a donation to the Lustgarden Foundation. Winnie is the third friend we have lost to this horrible disease and it's a wonderful tribute that you've chosen for her.

I send my deepest condolences to Winnie's entire family. I worked with Winnie closely over the past ten years as organist and contractor for the Bach Choir. With her warmth, humor, and radiance, she truly lit up my life and the lives of all those around her. I will miss her greatly.

My children and I have many fond memories of times spent with Winnie on the UK trip and especially on the boat cruising up the Thames. She was a very special lady and I am devastated by her loss. My only comfort is knowing that He has her wrapped in His loving arms and that He will provide the strength for us to carry on without her despite the huge hole that her loss has created in out lives. May her family find comfort in knowing how very much she meant to so many people.

I am a member of the Bach Choir -- have known Winnie for many years. Especially remember her wonderful presence and hard work of the UK Tour. She knew all of us and loved us. I will miss her terribly.
