Joanne Wrigley ORANGE- Joanne (Rivers) Wrigley, 75. formerly of 383 East River Street, King James Court, died on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Healthcare, 119 Belmont Street, Worcester, following an illness. Born in Gardner on December 14, 1934, she was a daughter of Norman and Anne (Sironaitis) Rivers and grew up in Orange, graduating from Orange High School in 1952. Joanne married Walter Wrigley in 1952 and enjoyed 32 years together at the time of his death in 1984. Employed by the Erving Paper Mill as an Executive Secretary for many years, she retired and then went on to work for the Franklin County Housing Authority. A kind, caring and loving lady, Joanne enjoyed her family and friends, as well as shopping and going out to eat. Survivors include her children, Joyce Netishen and her husband, Tony, of Orange, William Wrigley and his wife, Melissa, of Orange, Robert Wrigley of Bangor, Maine, and Laura Cloukey and her husband, Brendan, of Turners Falls.; grandchildren, Jocelyn Netishen, Alysha Wrigley, Walter Wrigley, and Montana Wrigley; three nieces; and one nephew. Besides her husband, Joanne was predeceased by two brothers, Jackie and John. Calling hours will be held on Sunday afternoon, April 25, 2010 from 1- 3 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange. Funeral services and interment in South Cemetery, Orange, will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Orange Bicentennial, c/o Orange Town Clerk, 6 Prospect Street, Orange, MA 01364.
