Condolence & Memory Journal

I lived next door to Norman for a few years during elementary school (1961-65). I spent a lot of time at his home and enjoyed much laughter, friendship, generosity and kindness from him and his family. He and his brother, David, were particularly good buddies to me. His mother was a saint for tolerating the pack of boys that seemed to overrun her house at all hours. Peace to Norman and blessings to all his family and friends.

Norman, I always remember your smile and your "Little bit different" way of looking at life, situations and their outcomes, etc.
It always made me think about different perspectives!

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends.

God's speed,

Ron, Jean and Carlton Gibson

Norman, Norman, I remember so well what a sweet boy you were. I remember when we stayed with ya'll and I was pregnant with Renee. You mom worked at Timex and I kept you boys. When David would get into trouble, he would climb to the top of a tree and stay there until he thought I had forgotten what he did. Rick and I would battle every day because he did not want to lie down and rest or nap after lunch. He would pout at me. Boy did I need a rest, seeing after three wonderful little boys. Norm you were quite and really did your own thing. Any way deep in my heart I will always and forever have a close special place for three precious boys that I love so dearly.I have kept up with you after you reached adult hood through you mom and my loving sister-in law. You are loved by so many and you will be missed only for a while. One day we will all be togather again sharing, loving, and laughing. Until that time comes, you will be in my heart. Aunt Wanda

Norman.....you were one of the most amazing people I have ever known. I remember living across the street from you and your family. When I would get to go into your room and listen to you play the guitar I thought I was really something. You were always so kind to me and I thought you were the coolest guy around. I will think of you often and remember you always....Renee'

Norman. You were my very first "boyfriend" and true love. You were so shy when we met and when you asked me to "go steady" you turned several shades of red but your smile never faulted. We had a lot of fun and a lot of ups and downs but you remained a steadfast friend. You came to my rescue more than once and even brought your big brother along once. Thank you for loving me and being a very important part of my life.
