Wanda, I am especially thinking of you at this time. Share my sympathies with the rest of Melvin's family. I hope to see you in April. We had such a nice visit this past April.

Wanda, I just want to relay my deepest condolences for the death of Melvin. I saw him at Ebenezer a couple of years ago and we had a good visit. Your family has been through a lot, and I know this is a particularly sad time for you. I remember Melvin and other members of your family with great fondness. Hope to see you in April.

Sherry and Melvin, Jr., We have enjoyed a wonderful friendship with your parents and enjoyed visits in Huntsville and Pasadena in the 70's, and more recently to Sheridian and Tulip. Melvin and I graduated from Fordyce High. The past couple of years we spoke on the phone 2-3 times a month, sharing conversation, concerns, and lots of laughter. Melvin was a really fine person and valued his family and friends. He really loved you three children and all of the grandkids and spoke of you often. He and Sharon were a blessing to us, and we will always remember and truly miss that association. Call us any time to share memories. Our love and prayers. Mary and Jim (Jimmy) Poole

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE WE'VE SEEN EACH OTHER. I HOPE YOU REMEMBER ME. I WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR BROTHER, WE WERE IN THE SAME CLASS TOGETHER. HE WAS ALWAYS A SWEET MAN WITH THAT LONG SLOW WAY OF SPEAKING THAT EVERYONE LOVES TO HEAR. HE 'WILL' BE MISSED. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU FAMILY. AN OLD FRIEND. MRS. KENNETH ROGERS 'BARBARA DOW ROGERS'
