I only had the pleasure of meeting Jane once. It was at the end of one of Jane's business trips and I was the driver who happened to be at the curb when she left the airport terminal. After loading her bags in the trunk we departed the McNamara Terminal and proceeded to Grosse Point. I don't recall however which G.P. community it was. During the trip I asked her if she would like to hear music. She agreed and I put in a CD of The Beatles when they were together and their solo works. The trip lasted approximately 45 minutes and she was able to enjoy the music for that period. Upon arrival at her home I told her what her fare was and she paid by credit card and she tipped me very generously which by all accounts was her nature anyway. I joked that I must carry her luggage inside her home to justify at least a portion of such a generous gratuity. After that I thanked her for her business and said that it was a pleasure to serve her. And it truly was. Months later when I heard the sad news I recognized the name and went back through my receipts to confirm the news and was extremely saddened to find it was so. You her family and friends have my deepest heartfelt sympathies and best wishes for your own futures. God bless all of you.

I did not know Jane, but after reading of her death and the manner of it I wanted to know more...so I came to this site and have just read all of the posted messages. It is very obvious to me that Jane was a very special person that positively impacted others. Just reading the other posts about Jane prove that she was a great person and treated others with dignity and respect; regardless of their socio-economic status in life. It is tragic and unthinkable to realize how she was taken from this world. It is very difficult to understand why this amazing woman was murdered...it makes no sense and is beyond horrific. May God be with her children and her parents that she leaves behind. The love of a mother is neverending.... This can be a lesson for us, if there is someone in your life like Jane, take a moment and thank them - before it is too late. Sincerely,
