Terry Ford Bonds, age 65, of Hutto/Austin, TX, passed away on February 15, 2012, with Alzheimer's.
Born and raised in Austin, TX March 30, 1946, Terry graduated from McCallum High with a scholarship to play baseball for UT Austin. He was later to become a proud Marine and loved this country til the day he died. He rodeoed, worked hard and played hard. He was so honored to be a Past Master of the Round Rock Masonic Lodge #227.
In his 20 years of sobriety, he found God and gave hope to so many through his compassion and love for others.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alice and Herbert Bonds and his beloved son Baron Thomas Bonds. He is survived by daughter Amanda Denton, sisters Ann Moore + Donna Bonds, and brother + wife, Jerry and Amy Bonds, grandson Blake Thomas Bonds, nieces and nephews, best friend of 50 years Terry Dailey, and countless others whose lives he touched.
Special thanks to those who helped Terry walk through his illness with grace and dignity, most especially his (and the family's) darling Karen Reed who loved and carefully cared for him to the end.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Masonic graveside will follow at Austin Memorial Park with USMC Honors.
