Tribute & Message From The Family

Minnie was the fourth child of five children born to Rev. Richard R. Reese and Mrs. Minnie M. Reese. She is preceded in death by three sisters Angelina Reese, Althea Hicks, Alma Templeton Jackson and one brother Rev. Dock U. Reese. Minnie leaves to celebrate her home going, Minister Donald U. Reese, Eileen Reese, William Persley, Angela Truitt, Stephanie King, William Templeton, Tami jackson and a host of other relatives and friends. Her early childhood was spent in Hutto, Texas where she professed faith in Christ at an early age. Participating in various church activities, using her wonderful voice singing in the church choir and giving praise to God for the rest of her life. The family moved to Austin, Texas where Minnie completed her education. Minnie graduated early from Anderson High School. She waited a year for her sister Alma to graduate. They started and graduated from Samuel Huston College. In her early teens she was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. In adulthood, Minnie left the Austin area to serve in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, she settled in Denver, Colorado where she was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Minnie was employed for twenty-five years with the City of Denver. After retirement, Minnie returned to Austin, Texas to be reunited with her famiy and friends. She joined the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church family in 1990. All praises to God. Minnie departed this lfe March 12, 2012.

My prayers go out to the family..I met Ms Minnie through her neices Tammy and Angela. I remember going to Angelas house for get togethers and Ms Minnie would be there talking about going back to Denver but now she is in a better place...Miss u Ms Minnie

I only found out about Minnie's going home to be with the Lord today (03/16/12) and won't be able to attend. May God bless those of you closest to her and give you peace. I pray for God's strength to the entire family

Minnie I really did love her,she was a beautiful lady inside and out.I loved to just sit and talk with her,but mostly listen to her talk.She was a very smart lady and she will be missed.Her neice Tammy took very good care of her she loved Minnie.My heartfelt sympathy is with the family.May God be with all of you.
