Tribute & Message From The Family

Roy Wylie, 63, of Cabot, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2012. Roy was a problem solver that enjoyed working with his hands. Tractors and antique cars were a passion. Roy was an outdoorsman through and through; he enjoyed all things outdoors—hunting, fishing, and gardening. Roy's five grandchildren were what brought the most joy into his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lowman L. Wylie. He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Mary; sons Dustin Paul Wylie and Jason Don (Amanda) Howard; five grandchildren, Gage, Macy and Madi Wylie; Kenzie and Blake Howard; his mother, Agnes (Brannon) Wylie; two brothers, Jerry (Judy) Wylie and Jack (Tonnie) Wylie; one sister, Theresa (Ronald) Campbell; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, at Victory Baptist Church, Cabot, with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Condolence & Memory Journal

To the Wylie family. My wife, Sandra and I were sorry to hear of Roy's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Lowman and Agnes were good friends. I remember Loman, his boys and me and my two young sons went fishing and they let my oldest one, Charles Boyd catch a fish. They caught him not looking and put one on his line. He thought he had really caught one!

Roy and I go way back. We were always up to our elbows in dirty motor oil, working on our Hot rods. Always a Ford though! We shared common interest, good friends and the same Belief's. I'm grateful to have attended the same church with and even the same neighborhood. My wife and I always looked forward to their Christmas decorations on the house and their pretty yard in the summer. If I needed him for anything, he was there. Mary and family of Roy, just know how much God must love you to have blessed you with such a kind and good hearted man. We shall treasure the memories till our families reunite again in Heaven. I know Roys is watching over you with Jesus by his side. Forever in our payers and a phone call away. Mary,

I am so sorry ro hear about Roy, I was shocked when Doug told me, I just want to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and Dustin, Gage, Jason, and all your family. He called her Ollie, I still laugh when I think about it. Uncle Roy's tractor was the first one josh ever drove. they always though that Roy was their uncle. He was a great man and will truly be missed.Kaitlyn still calls him uncle Roy. Love you all.

Roy ws a great friend and neighbor during my teen years in Cabot. Roy was a big brother type to me and although I was only able to visit with him a few times as we grew older I will think of the good times and mischievous times we shared in our youth. May the Lord uplift the Wylie family during this difficult time.

Roy and I started to school together and finished together. He was always a friend, and I didn't know anyone who didn't like him. We ran into each other a few months back at "Freds", and wore each other out catching up on our lives. He was a true friend and a good man. My life was enriched just knowing him, but he will remain one of my fondest memories. My heart aches for his family at this time, but cherish the many good times you each had with him and know that he's safely in heaven where he belongs.
