It does not seem a year ago. We miss him more now than ever. Michigan 89.3 radio will have a tribute to Dale and family on Feb. 14th. I love you brother and will see you some day. Blessings to the family on this very special day when their husband/father walked into his Saviors arms. "Well done, son"! was heard that day. I know he loves his new Home.

I am so sorry to learn Coach Mastens passing. What a wonderful man and wonderful family.

AS I went to a funeral of a 5 yr. old child Sat. I thought about how Taylor will love to play with Grandpa Dale. Taylor will be so loved by Jesus and all the others. The little guy had kidney failure. His mom is expecting a baby boy in July. She and the Dad are just overwhelmed with grief to loose their first born. They have two other younger children. Each funeral just brings back the ones that have been so hard to deal with. Heaven is real and that is how I see Dale. He is like a young man and more handsome than we can imagine. This makes me smile to know that he is so happy and content seeing Jesus face to face. I miss him too Melissa

My dearest Pat,
I was looking at facebook to see if any of my schoolmates were in there. I typed in "Patricia Freeman Masten", and to my horror, a page giving an obituary about Dale came up. I send my deepest sympathy. May our Lord grant you and your family, the love, strength and comfort that only He can. I haven't seen you since 1983 during our 20 year class reunion (that is the last one I attended).I stayed at your house a night or two. I am so sorry for your loss. Wish you would let me hear from you. email is: emwolverton@yahoo.com - my address is 81 Julia Dr., Atoka, TN 38004. Love, Elizabeth (Moss) Wolverton

I have known Dale for 23 years through the State FOP. Our paths would cross after his "retirement" in the boating community where I would see him on patrol...he gave my boat its most recent safety inspection. Dale was a good man who will be missed. Rest in peace, Brother Masten.

My Father was my hero. He was one of the most caring men you could ever meet. He helped shape me into the man I am today. I will miss his laugh, his presence, and his HUGE shoulders that helped carry so many of my burdens. He was so very brave. Through the fight with Cancer he never lost his sense of humor, or doubted the Lord. He was still always concerned that those around him were ok. I wish I could find all the words to express the love I feel for him and what kind of a man he was. Here is what I will say, when someone says, "you are just like your Dad", to me, there is no greater compliment. I love you Dad. I do, and always will miss you every day. RIP my HERO, my friend and my mentor.
