Condolence & Memory Journal

So sorry to hear about Aunt Colleen. Such a sweet lady. Always smiling, happy and loving. I miss the big family reunions that we used to have when we were all young. With our family being so large and the fact that my family lived in the Northern part of the state, it was the only time of year we actually got to see all the members of the family. Such sweet memories of Aunt Colleen with all the rest of the family. When I think of her at ther reunions, I always picture her carrying a dish of something delicious she made and brought to eat. I know that you are with God, Aunt Colleen and with the others of our family who have gone on before you. God Bless you. Love, Nancy McCalment-Niece

Aunt Colleen was a great lady. Since she had no girls, she used to come down to Jessup after I was born and help mom take care of me and curl my hair when I got older. She lived near Catlin at the time. I stayed overnight with them several times as a child. She gave me my first toothbrush! I took Dad to see her shortly after he went into the nursing home and he gave her a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. She said he always did. I'm sorry I didn't see her again.

Aunt Colleen was very special to me. Our May birthdays helped keep us in touch. I have received many birthday cards from Aunt Colleen...usually with a small gift while I was growing up. She was so thoughtful and kind. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers. She and my mother, Betty Lou Scott can now sing and praise God together in Heaven. (Betty Lou died 1,15,13) I pray we will all be able to join them both in Heaven someday!
