I talked to Mr. and Mrs. Gadd a few years back about Gadd genealogy. Really nice people. From my notes: "In a telephone interview 05 Sept 2010, Robert's wife quoted an in-law as saying there's 'no better man anywhere than Robert.'" Robert's father -- Noah Levi Gadd Sr. -- was my great uncle.

I have fond memories of conversations at the market. I will always remember Ennis as a friendly and caring person. My prayers are with the family. Nancy Stewart Belcher

Ennis was a wonderful friend and neighbor. Toiling the soil was her desire and pleasure even though, she was not physically able in the last few years. She always wanted to share her labors with me. It may have been new potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage head, or anything that was harvested. You could not give her anything that she didn't insist that you take something back with you. Robert was the same way. Sometimes, I would just find a bucket or basket on my back porch with goodies from them.

Her words to me, "You come anytime, I'm always home." The door was always open. I will miss you, my dear sweet friend. I pray that you are happy now with your beloved Robert. Rest in peace, until we meet again, I will cherish your memory.

May God bless and comfort each of the family as you go through this trying time.
I love each of you!

When Mr. Robert passed the gates of glory were they opened by Jesus and Peter welcoming him with open arms. Now Ms. Ennis has gone to hold his hand again. When the gates opened for Ms. Ennis the gates were opened wider. The Lord saw that big smile of Ms. Ennis and she was welcomed by her family and friends.
My most fondest memory of Ennis and Robert were when I was a teenager, Robert dressed up as Santa Claus and Ennis as Mrs. Claus. They would hook up the horse and wagon and traveled the roads in the Pettrey/Elgood area handing out treat bags to all the children. If only everyone could have seen the faces of the kids like they did with Love. You will be missed Ms. Ennis.

We just wanted to let you know that our thoughts and
prayers are with you during this very difficult and sad
time. Mom and I enjoyed our visit with your Mom and
Dad when we came up from Florida to visit. We had
a lot of laughs and a delicious lunch. Those are good
memories and the ones we need to keep close to
our hearts. May the love of family and friends comfort
you in your time of sorrow.
