My wife and I remember going into the George Jones gift shop on the old Music Row in Nashville back in 1991 and it was the first time we meet Mr. Jones and what an honor it was, since I was just starting in country music.

BEST COUNTRY SINGER EVER WILL BE SADLY MISSED
George I grew up listening to your music bc my dad was a die hard fan. You will never know how much your music has touched the lives of my family members. My oldest son Eric is truly your #1 die hard fan!!! He learned the words to "I Don't Need Your Rocking Chair" before he could really even talk at the age of 1, he knows every word to every song you have, has every cassette, 8 track, dvd, record and cd that you have ever made. He has tshirts, autographed pictures hanging on his wall. He has been to several of your concerts including one in Paducah back on April1 2011, were he and I were front row center, and he was in heaven, that meant more to him than if you woulda gave him a new car. It was a very sad day around our house when we learned of your passing, we had intended on being at the branson show this fall. I am truly blessed that my kids got to hear your music and learn what true country music is. You will be missed forever by many and I know our family is just a small drop in t
Bless your heart. You wore shoes that can never be filled.

'Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes"....NO ONE will ever fill these shoes. There's always been a George Jones song in my life. I was raised on Georges songs ALL of my 53 years. A tear, a chuckle, a memory, there always seemed to be a George Jones song. I got to see one concert of Georges & had tickets for July. Hopefully I'll someday be able to see & hear a concert again. THANKS for making life a bit more bearable with just the right song
