He was a 1994 graduate of Man High School where he played Man High Hillbillies football. Roger proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp for four years. Devoted to his children, he coached Man Midget League Football and Little League Baseball. Before the accident that left him a quadriplegic, Roger was a coal miner formerly employed with Rock House Mining and Mingo-Logan Coal Company.
