Adrith H. Parsons, 91, went to heaven on March 12, 2017. She was surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joel A. Parsons.

Born in Greenville, SC, daughter of the late Asberry and Lillie Morgan Holland, she was a proud graduate of Greenville High School. During World War II, she worked at Donaldson Air Base and was on a team that was responsible for the highly secret Norton Bomb Sights.

She was dedicated to her family and her church. She was involved in many activities at her church and was always one of the first to respond when help was needed. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and gave them all the love that she possibly could give them.

Surviving are two sons, Joel Alex Parsons, II, LTC, US Army (Retired) and his wife, Ginger, of Columbia, SC, and H. Andrew “Andy” Parsons, of Greenville, SC; and a daughter, Darlene Rose James, and her husband, Keith, Lt Col, USAF (Retired) of New Baden, IL.; and seven grandchildren, Rusty James, Michael James, Daniel James, Christopher Parsons, Heather Parsons, William Parsons and Anna Marie Parsons.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at 3:00 PM, in Woodlawn Memorial Park, with Chaplain Joe Farry officiating.
