Dr. Scott was born on March 15, 1920 and passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Dr. Scott was a resident of North Carolina at the time of passing.

He was very proud of the fact that he graduated from high school at the age of fifteen.

In January of 1943 Dr. Scott was inducted into the US Army as a First Lieutenant and sent to Camp Barkeley outside of Abilene, Texas.

Dr. Scott entered Wake Forest College in Wake Forest, NC and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in June of 1939. He subsequently entered Wake Forest School of Medicine in September of 1939 later transferring to the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his last two years of medical school. A private service was held for the family at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church in Salisbury, NC.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the church or to Catawba College.
