Alan was born on January 18, 1945 and passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018.

Alan was a resident of North Carolina at the time of passing.

Born in Washington, North Carolina on January 18, 1945, Alan was the first child to Alan Gilbert Boyer, Sr. and Norma Ross Boyer, and spent his young life in Washington and was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School.

Stationed at Eglin Air Force Base, he served in the United States Air Force for 4 years.

A private family burial will be held. Alan attended Wake Forest University, Chowan College, and East Carolina University.
