Alba Costa, 88, of Lake Mary, FL passed away on May 14, 2017. She was born to the late Gaetano and Martina Moscano in San Sostene, Italy on September 3, 1928. She was recently preceded in passing by her husband of 68 years, Nickolas. Alba was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was a talented seamstress who also enjoyed cooking. Alba was at her happiest when she would cook for people and they would eat. Gardening was her escape, and Alba had the “green thumb” it took to maintain beautiful gardens of flowers and vegetables. She was a selfless mother who cared deeply for her family, so much so that she passed on only once she was alone in her room as to not cause her family further grief. She is now reunited with her husband Nickolas. In the words of one of Alba’s grandsons, “My grandfather was one half of a true example of God's love and now he has his other half. We all love you grandma and grandpa and this separation is only temporary. We shall be together again someday. For now rest, dance, feast, sing, love on each other, and look down on us with smiles and laughter knowing we will always be thinking about or reminded in some way in our lives of you.”

Alba was preceded in passing by her 2 sisters, Rose and Josephine Pileci.

She is survived by her children, Guy Costa (Louise), Theresa Helligar (George), and Rose Ojeda (Joseph); grandchildren, Lisa Stevens (Zach), Nicholas Costa, Stephanie Brown, and Tristan Brown (Sarah); as well as countless nieces, nephews, and other family members.
