Albert Leroy (Roy) Crittenden, Jr, of Dunwoody, Ga. was born November 17, 1932 delivered by his Grandfather B.C. Powell in Villa Rica, GA, and departed this world March 28, 2017 and is now present with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

His early life was in Darien, GA, followed by grade school and high school in Waynesboro, GA. He attended North GA College for two years in Dahlonega, GA. He attended Pharmacy College at the University of Georgia where he was a Phi Delta Theta.

After graduation, he spent two years in the Army in Germany in the 3rd Armored Division.

Roy spent 4 years in Retail Pharmacy in Dublin, GA.

Roy and Mary Sue met and married in Dublin, GA. Their marriage was filled with love for one another, love for our Lord, love for family, and always a sense of humor through good times and bad.

He had a 33 year career with Eli Lilly & Co. as a district Manager.

Retiring in 1992, he took a US Coast Guard Auxiliary safe boating course. He joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary in 1993, eventually serving in numerous offices including Flotilla 29 Lake Lanier Commander and Division 2 Captain. He was Public Affairs officer at the flotilla, division, district and national levels. 20 years in Public Affairs.

Upon retirement he and his wife also cruised the intercostal waterway from Miami to Wilmington, North Carolina in their boat “Southern Accent”.

He is survived by his beloved Wife of 59 years, Mary Sue Crittenden; Son, William Reid Crittenden; Daughter-in-Law, Alicia Coxwell Crittenden, and Grandsons William Reid Crittenden, Jr and Liam Robertson Crittenden. He was preceded in death by son Thomas Lane Crittenden.

The Funeral will be held Friday March 31, at 1 pm. at the Chapel at Perimeter Church 9500 Medlock Bridge Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30097
