Albert Michael Penta, 88, residing in Madison, CT for 54 years, passed away on November 28, 2016, surrounded by his family. Born January 28, 1928, he is survived by his loving wife, JeanEmily Ricciuti Penta, whom he adored for over 58 years, his children, Joanna Penta of West Hartford, Cindy Farrell of Windsor, Albert Penta of Clinton, Jennifer (Ron) Soja of Madison, and Nancy Collins of Scottsdale, AZ, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sister-in-law/brother-in-law Louis and MaryAnn Ricciuti.

Albert served in the US Army during the Korean War. He met the love of his life, JeanEmily, while working at the original Waverly Inn, Cheshire. He and his father-in-law operated the Yum-Yum Drive-In, Branford, and Albert later gregariously engaged patrons at Frank's Restaurant, Hartford. Happiest when surrounded by his family, Albert's greatest joy came from cooking at family gatherings, manning the grill at UConn football tailgate parties, and attending the musical, dance, and athletic events of his grandchildren.
