Alexander Permiakov, 63, of Flower Mound, TX, reposed in the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine, TX, after a short illness.





He was born on July 1, 1953 in Baltiysk, Kalinigrad Oblast, Russia to Sergey Permiakov and Alevtina (Talanova) Permiakova. Alexander graduated in 1975 from the Riga Aviation University with a Master’s degree equivalent in Computer Science, and for his entire life worked as a computer programmer in Latvia, continuing in the same profession after his emigration to the United States in 1995. He was a loving husband of his wife of 40 years, Nadejda (Piskun) Permiakova, a beloved father of Vitaly Permiakov of Jordanville, NY and Marina Permiakova (Maxim Shkarayev) of Phoenix, AZ, and a proud and affectionate grandfather of Ivan and Kira Shkarayev. He will also be greatly missed by his cousin Inna Knyazeva and her son Ilya (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), as well as by many friends, classmates, and former coworkers. He was preceded in death by his father Sergey Permiakov who reposed in Riga in 1987.





Memorial services for Alexander Permiakov were celebrated on March 12, 13, and 14, 2017 at St Barbara’s Orthodox Church (Orthodox Church in America) in Fort Worth, TX. The Funeral Rite on March 14 was presided by the Very Rev. Archpriest Basil Zebrun and concelebrated by the Very Rev. Archimandrite Gerasim (Eliel). Alexander Permiakov will be laid to rest next to his father Sergey at the Mikela Cemetery in Riga, Latvia, on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
