Alexander Rodriguez Gonzalez, 55 died on Wednesday, August 2, 2017

Born in Wurzburg, Germany on August 29, 1961 and was the son of Quirino and Mary Rodriguez.

He will be dearly missed by his mother Mary Rodriguez, his three older brothers Danny (Maria), Luis and William (Adelaida) and his younger sister, Yvonne (Jose) as well as by his nephews, Luis, Danny and Jose and nieces Lizmery, Lorraine, Elizette, Daniella, Karla, Sheila, Jessica, Lynette and Quiara.

Alex played football as a child and grew up running marathons. He enjoyed listening to music, and learned to play the clarinet at an early age. Alex also was an avid golfer until his early twenties.

Alex was accomplished in school, skilled mathematician who loved science. He attended and graduated from Eugenio Maria de Hostos High School in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. He then continued on to college pursuing a career in accounting. Alex loved planes and at the age of eighteen obtained his private pilot license.

Alex proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged at the end of his term. He was an AAV crewmember.

Throughout his life he collected a variety of caps and could not make any day without drinking several cups of coffee.

Alex was shy and had a gentle soul. He was friendly to all and never hesitated to help others even at his own expense. He had a great sense of humor. Alex made those around him feel appreciated and uplifted as he always found a way to compliment others.

He was a devoted son who dedicated his life to keep his mother company after the death of his father. He will forever be loved and remembered.
