Alice DuBose Reagan, 91 died at her home on Saturday, July 15, 2017. She was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, the daughter of Bernard C. and Alice Edwards DuBose.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Owen Walker Reagan, Jr, and her brother Albert Louis DuBose.

Alice graduated from Selma High School and then attended Pfeiffer College and High Point College earning a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education. She served as the director of Christian education at First Methodist Church in Laurinburg, NC where she also met and married the love of her life. Alice was a homemaker. She and Owen raised their four children in Raleigh. Alice was an active member of Wesley Memorial UMC where she served on numerous committees and taught a young adult Sunday school class. She volunteered with the Red Cross, Girl Scouts, and as an election poll staffer.

Alice departed the pain-ridden body that had left her homebound for almost 30 years and has joined her Heavenly Father and Owen for eternal life with the brand new body God promised her. She is celebrating the joyous reunion with no more pain and suffering. To her family, Alice's perseverance was heroic as she battled chronic pain and illness for most of her life. Through her trials, her faith remained steadfast and her outlook always positive. As long as she was able, Alice continued to minister to others from her bedside through conversations, cards, notes, and hours of prayer.

Survived by her son, Walker (Janet) Reagan; daughters, Jan Reagan, Kathy (Dean) Strickland and Carol (Stan) Ball; Grandchildren Wen (Casey) Reagan, Mills Reagan, Maggie Strickland, Daven Reagan, Reagan Strickland, Nixon Ball, Jacob Strickland, and Anderson Ball; great grandsons Ezra and Pax Reagan.

Alice's family would like to thank the many caregivers from Visiting "Angels" and the Hospice Care team at Transitions LifeCare, who have loved and cared for her through this journey.
