Allen F. Miner WARWICK- Allen F. Miner of Warwick, died on December 25th at age 79. Born in Leyden to Wilfred and Beatrice Miner, he graduated from New Salem Academy in 1950. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann; daughters Alana Mankowsky and Andrea Woods; son, Anthony; grandchildren Erin Rossetti, Brian Miner, Michael Mankowsky, Jared and Kathryn Woods; and a sister, Eunice Rumrill. Allen was an avid horse person. Allen was Highway Superintendent and a Selectman in Warwick, as well as self employed in bus transportation and construction. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 5- 7 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange. A Memorial service will be held on Monday morning, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.at the Metcalf Memorial Chapel, Athol Road, Warwick, with Rev. Dan Dibble, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Allen would be happy to have donations in his memory to the Warwick Firemen’s Association, c/o Roland Weld, 862 Orange Road, Warwick, MA 01378.
