ALLEN MORRISON COX FUNERAL HOME BASTROP, LA. Allen Dale Morrison was born May 15, 1953 in Portland, Oregon and he passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his home in Bastrop, Louisiana. Allen was a graduate of the Bastrop High School Class of 1971 serving as Class President. He was also active in organizing his high school class reunions that he enjoyed attending. Allen was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and a longtime employee of both Ford, Bacon, & Davis and HGA. An avid NASCAR fan, Allen never missed a race on T.V. and he was fortunate to attend several races in person. Allen enjoyed a good time and having fun. He loved his time spent with his family and many friends. Allen's life brought joy to others. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Morrison and Martha Owens Morrison and by a brother, Perry Morrison. Allen is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Terri Morrison; his son, Greg Morrison and his wife Kristi all of Bastrop, Louisiana. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Allison Morrison, Halie Tomboli, and Dalton Bulloch; and two brothers, Harry Morrison and his wife Corrie and Louis Morrison and his wife Elizabeth. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15th, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Memorial services celebrating Allen's life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Reverend Christie Fleming officiating. Private family committal services will follow at a later date.
