83, passed away June 23, 2017 in Tampa, FL. A native of Tampa, he graduated from Plant High School, where he was a varsity basketball player. He attended the University of Florida where he became a life-long Gator fan, and joined SAE fraternity, then off to the army. He returned to Tampa in 1954. Red was a career stock broker. He was a member of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, Merrymakers, and Palma Ceia CC. He was known to play a game or two of Gin Rummy at Palma Ceia CC, his second home. He also enjoyed tennis, 40s music, lunch with the boys, and watching classic movies.

He wrote, “Thank you to all my family and friends who cared for me during my illness. And to my Mary Ann, the love of my life, for her love, joy, laughter, and devotion. See you in the funny papers. Love, Red”.

Uncle Buddy, as he was known to his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jerome; his sisters, Virginia, and Lucille Lowry Logan; and his brothers, Billy and Jack.

Friends and family, please join us Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 4:00-6:00pm at Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club. Come for a casual celebration of his life and his final round of Gin Rummy. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Red’s name to The Children’s Cancer Center Tampa, FL.
