A New Bloom...
Alma Moore was the gift of a daughter born to the late Frances and James Gary on April 28, 1932, in Wheelock, Texas. She began her life on the right path by being baptized and becoming an active young member of New Hope Baptist Church. She brought great joy to the congregation, playing piano for choirs and singing praises with them to her Lord.
The Bloom Flowers...
Alma married Robert P. Moore and together they began their new life and family in Wichita Falls, Texas, before moving to Dallas, Texas.
She worked for AT&T, where she enjoyed lifelong friendships, even after retirement. She delighted everyone who had a chance to feast on her delicious cakes and pies. She is surely in heaven right now baking her famous pound cake for her Father.
Alma became a devoted member of Golden Gate Baptist Church under the inspired leadership of Reverend C.B.T. Smith, where she enjoyed participating in various member group organizations. After Reverend Smith's retirement, she then became a member of Greater Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church, where she enjoyed worship, community and spiritual guidance from the most capable Reverend Fabian K. Jacko, until her last day.
A Flower Returns Home...
Alma Moore returned to her Father in Heaven's home on February 19, 2017. Among those to welcome her into Heaven's Gate were her mother and father, Frances and James Gary; sisters, Johnnie Mae Gary, Eula Beatrice Robinson, and Maggie Stewart; and brother, Jimmy Gary.
Her memory lives on in the hearts of her daughters, Rhobye Wyatt, Cynthia Moore and Tonja Moore; and former husband and friend, Robert Moore. Her legacy lives on in her beloved grandchildren, Kamal Wyatt, Krysti Thompson, and Taylor Juliana. And the beauty of her life lives on in her brother, Floyd Gary, and his family, along with a host of extended family.
