Alma Vivian Havis, 69, of Greensboro, left for her Heavenly Home on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from Moses Cone Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will conclude the services at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.
Alma was born in Guilford County on September 5, 1946 to the late Max and Edna Crowder and was of the Methodist faith. She was the co-owner and operator of Beef Burger Restaurant on W. Gate City Blvd. (previously known as Lee Street) in Greensboro for 54 years. Alma was a hard worker, a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammie Lenae Havis, who is rejoicing in their reunion.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 53 years, Ralph Havis; sister, Cheryl Bullington; brother, Jay Truzzi; and extended family and friends.
