Alvie passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

Alvie was a resident of Louisville, Kentucky at the time of passing.

Son of the late John Monroe and Lillie (Smith) Penix, he was an Army Tank Gunner in WWII, receiving a Purple Heart for his service.

Survived By: Wife: Hazel Mae Penix of Louisville Daughter: Terry Parson (John) of Crestwood Son: Alvie D. Penix, Jr. (Sharon) of New Castle Grandchildren: Joyce Penix, Michael (Kristine) Parson, & Shannon (Joseph) Meiner Great-Grandchildren: Austin, Dakota & Kathryn Funeral Service: 1 PM on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Larry Gillman. Interment: Campbellsburg Masonic Cemetery Pallbearers: Michael Parson, Joseph Meiner, Dakota Clemmons & Michael West Form of contributions may be given to the VA Medical Center 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206.
