Alyce Rae Sorrells Pennington, 85 of Holly Springs, died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her home. She was born June 21, 1931 in Camden, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member Holly Springs United Methodist Church and Holly Springs Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Ray Sorrells and Lucille Young Sorrells; husband, Clyde James Pennington; daughter, Jamie Rae Pennington Shelby; and brother, Terry Richard Sorrells. She is survived by son, Richard Pennington and his wife, Jeannie of Holly Springs; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday at Holly Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. David Dillard officiating. Burial will follow at New Holly Springs Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce/Bearden. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net.
