Amanda Leanne O'Rear, age 27, joined her sister Heidi and her other loved ones on March 2, 2015. Amanda was born on May 7, 1987 in Cicero, IN. Amanda attended Hamilton Heights High School before graduating from Options Charter High School in Carmel. She was licensed in Massage Therapy and received her Certification from Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics. She was excited and in the process of launching her own business "Cute as a Button" designing and creating hand made boutique items for her online shop on Etsy Marketplace.
Amanda's beautiful spirit shined light on many lives. She spread her joy daily to her friends and family. She loved children and was a nanny for several families, the most recent being for her nephews, Ramie and Wyatt Hamilton. She also dedicated time and energy to her interest in organic gardening and flora. Amanda always lived in the light, surrounding herself with loved ones and music. She was a beacon of love and kindness, impacting so many with her words and actions, always willing to lend a helping hand and a caring heart.
Amanda is survived by the love of her life, Jason Lofthus of Indianapolis; parents, Robert and Rita O'Rear of Cicero; sisters, Melissa O'Rear Hamilton of Indianapolis, Erin O'Rear of Indianapolis, Alana Shuck and brother-in-law, Isaiah Shuck of Noblesville; grandmother, Barbara Faidley of Indianapolis, and her sweet puppy, Honey.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10:30AM at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with her friends, Rev. Jeffrey Poe and Rev. Mary Bannon officiating. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00PM on Friday, March 6, 2015. You may send condolences at www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
