AMY GENE CRUMLEY HAMILTON COX FUNERAL HOME BASTROP, LOUISIANA Services celebrating the life of Amy Gene Crumley Hamilton will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May, 1, 2018 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Bro. Wayne Clegg officiating. Interment and committal services will follow at the McKnight Cemetery in Richland Parish under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Ms. Amy Gene Crumley Hamilton was born in Pierre Part, Louisiana on August 24, 1967 and she passed away, surrounded by her family, on April 25, 2018 at the Baton Rouge General Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Amy was raised in Bastrop and graduated from Bastrop High School in 1985. She was employed as a rental storage property manager in the Baton Rouge area. At the time of her death Amy was a registered organ donor. Through her decision and loving generosity she provided life to three others. Amy is preceded in death by her step father, Steve Boyte; her maternal grandparents, Sid and Bessie Best; her paternal grandparents, Jack and Maxine Crumley, and her adored fur baby, Leigha. Ms. Hamilton is survived by her partner, Melissa Dumbleton; her sons, Cody Hamilton and Devin Hamilton; her parents, Silva Boyte and Dempsey Crumley and his wife, Margie; her sister, La Rhondia Crumley Garrett and her husband, Gary; step-siblings, Shane Boyte and his wife, Sarah, Susan Worley and her husband, Richard, and Gene Boyte and his wife, Angel. Amy is also survived by her half-siblings, Dallas Crumley and Mary Allison Crumley; several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; two special children she helped take care of, Christian and Lynnae, along with the newest members of the family, four dwarf bunnies she absolutely adored. Serving as pallbearers are Devin Hamilton, Gene Boyte, Shane Boyte, Eddie Higdon, Dallas Crumley, Dane Pullen, Byron Turner, and Charlie Lowery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, April 30, 2018, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
