Andrea LaPaglia Hamby, 41, of Hot Springs passed peacefully on March 3, 2017 after a beautiful day enjoying sunshine and warm waters with her husband. They had been celebrating their 15th year of love, marriage and companionship. The day had been amazing and she was truly happy.

She was born on July 12, 1975 in Evanston, Illinois to Karen Chrisos and James LaPaglia who will cherish her memory and miss her each and every day.

Andrea was a woman of faith, love, strength and compassion. She had an unmatched devotion to her family, especially her daughter Madelynn Marie.

Everything Andrea gave her heart to she did so with passion, and there were numerous causes she believed in and worked for. She had a heart of gold and was always the first person to offer help or prayers when needed.

Although she was incredibly kind, her spirit was also that of a fighter and she surpassed every expectation and limitation that life had given her.

Andrea was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church where she served in multiple capacities including; Vacation Bible School Co-Director for multiple years, Secretary of the Children’s Council for several years, volunteered as one of the Kids Rock mission group directors, she was a founding member of the Grace in Action UMW Circle, a regular volunteer for the Open Arms Food Pantry, and part of the SUMC Nurture Committee.

She gave her time to help with ACE Closet and numerous other organizations in our community. She was also a member of both the Mint Julips and Grow and Show Garden Clubs and Circle of Friends.

Meeting Andrea in eternity are her grandparents, Dr. Joseph and Kris Gordon; Salvatore and Shirley LaPaglia and her mother in law, Magnolia Hamby.

Keeping Andrea in their hearts is her husband, Scott Hamby; daughter and best friend, Madelynn Marie Hamby; sisters, Kris Lee (Rob), Valerie Brasseale (Eric), Jamie LaPaglia (John), Rebecca LaPaglia; brother, Charlie LaPaglia; step father, George Chrisos; step mother, Mylinda LaPaglia; father in law, Dan Hamby; brother in law, Daniel Banks Hamby III; sister in law, Magnolia Hamby and numerous other special family members and close friends.

Pallbearers will be Eric Brasseale, Ryan Frazier, Robert Hopkins, Dillon Johnson, Banks Hamby, Charlie LaPaglia, John Dale and John Stubblefield.

In lieu of flowers the family would love if memorial donations could be made to First United Methodist Church at 1100 Central Ave in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
