Angie Mae Runnels Brewer passed into Heaven on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas.

She was born in Bay City, Texas on December 26, 1924. Most of her life Angie lived near Hobby Airport in the Garden Villas and Pearland areas of Houston. She especially loved living in Mexico City, Mexico for several years in the 1960's with her husband and children. For the last five years she resided in San Antonio.

Angie was very loving, kind, had a great sense of humor, a love for adventure and travel, a faithful wife, a caring mother, and an endearing grandmother. She rarely met a stranger. Her love for people and travel made her career as a ticket agent for Eastern Airline and Pan American Airlines, and later at Stoddard's Tours and Travels, a great fit. She took the time to be a wonderful homemaker, seamstress, and neighbor while raising her family. In retirement she worked part-time for Weight Watchers for many years. Her passion was caring for, and visiting her family, especially her grandchildren, which she took on many special trips. Christmas was always a magical family time at Matmas.

Angie was preceded in death by her mother, Angie Sue Birdsong Runnels and father John Runnels, and her loving husband, Joseph Z. Brewer Sr. She leaves behind her son, Joseph Z. Brewer Jr, daughters, Angie K. Fine (John), P. Erline Outlaw (Jesse), and Dr. Ann B. Gillette. Her beloved grandchildren, Jesse Outlaw (Brittany), Jacquelyn Gillette, Rachel Rothberg (Ben), Lori Baden (Craig), Ryan Brewer (Haylee), Lindsey Lower (Branden), Lyndi Brewer, James Outlaw (Heather), Chad Brewer, William Fine (fianc Brittany), John Michael Fine, and Aaron Fine. And her great-grand-children, Everley Mae and Jesse Rawley Outlaw, and Rosemary Lower (soon to arrive in May). She also leaves behind many dear extended family members and friends. In special mention Barbara Wright and family, and Florence Munthali and Juliet Lake, her much beloved friends and caregivers.

A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, March 28th at 1:30 p.m., at the Chapel of Angels, Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas 77023.
The chapel is in the cemetery near the pond where she took her children to feed the ducks and picnic while growing up.
