Anna Lee Thompson, 95, of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away on November 3, 2017. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-great-grandmother, and even a great-great-great-grandmother, as well as a friend to many. Anna was born on April 9, 1922 to the late Roy and Hallie Elrod in Ballard County, Kentucky. She was preceded in passing by her husband Houston Thompson. Together they had 3 children, and Anna spent most her life caring for her family. She was church-oriented and loved her Lord. Anna had many collections throughout her lifetime, including a collection of Coca Cola items, roosters, and most recently, angels. She enjoyed arts and crafts and giving her creations to her family. Anna also enjoyed “doctor prescribed” Mountain Dew. Anna was affectionately known as “Gram” and “Nana,” and she will be deeply missed by her friends and family.



Anna was also preceded in passing by her children Janet Moore and Houston Thompson Jr., as well as 4 brothers.



She is survived by her daughter Phyllis “Kaye” Comfort; sister Barbara Sanders (Charles); 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.



Visitation Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm at Baldwin Fairchild East Altamonte, 994 E Altamonte Dr., Altamonte Springs, FL 32701. Service Thursday, Nov. 9 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Anna.
