Anne "Tasie" Michaelides-Simonian passed away peacefully at the age of 91. She was born in Fresno , CA , where she lived most of her life. She later moved to Mukilteo, WA, to live closer to her daughter.

As a young girl, Anne or "Tasie", as she was affectionately known by family, grew up surrounded by her close-knit Greek extended family. Most lived within walking distance of each other. Her cousins were special to her then and remained so throughout her life. In 1944, Anne graduated from Fresno Technical High School. She loved playing sports, was the captain of the girls' volleyball team, a member of the baseball team, and a writer for the school's business paper. As a single mother, Anne worked to care for her two young children. Those years, although very difficult for her, were eased by the love and support she received from her mother and father, Yiaya Louise, and her "Pop", Papou Leon; her brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Faye; and her sister Alice. They gave with love and generosity.

Anne enjoyed her jobs at Sequoia Savings and at the Fresno County EOC where she sat at the office hub greeting many political and community leaders. She heard many a tale and kept many a confidence. Holidays were of special joy to Anne, especially Christmas. She would decorate her home, bake, and play the old Christmas classics of Nat, Bing, and Frank. She loved music. Often an album of Dinah Washington, Nancy Wilson, or Peggy Lee would be on the turntable.

As a homemaker, Anne kept an immaculate home and yard. She loved to bake, her specialty being apple pie. She frequented many of Fresno's treasures including Lauck's Bakery for strawberry pizza pie, the old Farmer's Market for Rossi's calzones, the Lime Lite on Clinton for abalone steak, and Mike's Pizzeria at West and Shields for a pepperoni pizza to go on her way home from work. Anne enjoyed travel, often accompanying her daughter and son-in-law on cruises to Alaska, the Bahamas, and several trips to Hawaii.

Anne is now reunited with her baby girl, Louise Elaine; and other beloved family members. Anne is survived by her son, Jeffrey Simonian; and her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah (Simonian) and Steven Brandt of Mill Creek, WA. Mom, you finished well. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
