Anne Stranczek A 50-year resident of Corte Madera, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 18th, 2016 after a long illness, at the age of 76. She was the loving mother of Stefanie Stranczek of Corte Madera and Christopher Stranczek of San Francisco. Anne is survived by her sister, Sandra Servadei London, many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Anne was a native of San Francisco, born in North Beach. She was the daughter of Sesto Servadei and Elda Servadei (nee Paraventi). Anne attended Saint Brigid's Elementary School, Notre Dame des Victoires High School, and the University of New Mexico, where she received her B.A. in History and she then received her teaching credential at San Francisco State. She taught middle school History and Social Studies at the 3R's school in San Rafael. She moved to Marin county in 1965, where she spent many happy years. Anne loved to travel and had visited many places including China, Morocco and Europe. She enjoyed her home, was an avid reader as well as a life-long student of history. Her family remembers her as a generous person who always welcomed new friends. She loved spending time with her friends and family. Anne's rapid fire conversation and laughter will be sorely missed. In her memory, please consider a memorial contribution to the South Poverty Law Center Heifer International , Feed the Children or Wounded Warrior Project. A service in celebration of Anne's life will be held on Thursday August 25th at 11.30 at Keaton's Mortuary in San Rafael.
