Tony was a proud American who served in the Marines from 1981-1982 and then in the Army from 1986-1992. He was stationed in Germany from 1988-1989 before returning home to the U.S. He was based out of Fort Hood, Tx. He was honorably discharged in 1992.
Tony was a very devoted son, he called his parents on a daily basis and reminisced frequently about his time growing up with Mom's delicious cooking.
Tony was active in sports ever since he was a young boy. His dad coached him in basketball in junior high in Pensacola, and he was a part of the football team as well. Tony graduated from Morris High School in Illinois where he was on the wrestling team. Tony loved all sports, whether he was playing them or watching them. His favorite football team was the Buccaneers. He spent a lot of time with his son, Cory, playing basketball just as his dad did with him. Tony was looking forward to teaching basketball to Bryan's son, Ryder, and carrying on the family tradition.
Although football was his favorite sport, Tony's passion was bowling. He started bowling when he was just two years old and by 10 years old he was on the Junior League Bowling Team. As an adult, Tony shared his passion by teaching youngsters the art of bowling. His house was Oakfield Lanes in Brandon, Fla. It was his home away from home. There are far too many accomplishments and awards to list, but close friends and family know how talented Tony was.
Tony was an aficionado when it came to music, as well as sports. His favorite bands were Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Comfortably Numb was his signature song. Tony and Karen enjoyed spending time together at concerts and following local bands. They would typically take a ride on their beloved Harley to various Bike Fests in Leesburg, Gibtown and Cotee River just to name a few.
Over the years Tony was employed as a Security Guard and a Real Estate Agent working with his father. Tony was currently employed with the Good Feet corporation as a Regional Manager based in Brandon and Tampa, Fla. Tony loved working with people, he was compassionate and it brought him great joy in being able to ease someone else's pain.
Tony was a devoted Christian. The Brandon Fellowship Baptist Church was his second family, where he loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was a beacon of light to all those who came to know him. Tony aspired to save those he loved so that one day he would be reunited with them in Heaven.
Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
