Arlene Mae Keenan, 94 of Midland, died Sunday, February 11, 2018. She was born September 24, 1923 in Marion Township, daughter of the late John and Anna (Wesener) Seeger. Arlene was married to John Keenan Sr. who preceded her in death November of 1985. She enjoyed being outside gardening, and watching the Detroit Lions. Arlene was a remarkable artist whose love of art lead her to travel to many places looking for her next scene to paint. She also cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Arlene is survived by her children John (Laura) Keenan, Jim (Ann) Keenan, and Jane (Paul) Kessler; grandchildren Kayla Keenan, Ryen Keenan, Jacquelyn Keenan, Ethan Keenan, Bryan (Laurie) Kessler, Michael (Niyati) Kessler, and Christopher Kessler; great grandchildren Grant, Ian, and Nathan Kessler; and sister Hilda Meyer. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Alicia Eliza, Eleanor, Cora, and Laura.

Memorial services for Arlene will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Wheeler St. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Messages of condolence may be offered to the family at
