Pat Darrow stayed as long as he possibly could, but left us June 24, 2017 (born October 4, 1931). Pat was a life-long Kansas City resident. He was predeceased by his parents Mable Collings and Andrew Darrow, a brother John R. (Jack) Darrow and a daughter Janice Harris. He is survived by daughter Connie Effie of K.C. Kansas and sons John A.C. Darrow of Greenville, North Carolina and Thomas H.P. Darrow of Kansas City. He leaves grandchildren John Darrow, Adam Harris (Sarah), Chad Harris (Cayenne), Stacey Harris, Angela Meyer (Joe) and Joe Richardson, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Pat attended Central High School, studied at the K.C. Conservatory of Music, was in the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War, served 27 years in law enforcement and retired from the KC Revenue Division at City Hall. Pat was a master of many and varied interests. He was a certified NRA rifle and pistol instructor, one of the top Master Class Highpower Rifle shooters in the nation, a professional photographer, had a beautiful tenor singing voice and attended the Lyric Opera since it was founded in 1958, had a vast knowledge of Egyptian, Civil War, World Wars I and II history and Kansas City area history. Pat loved life, loved people and making them smile, laugh and think; loved movies, guns and target shooting, eating out and being the center of attention.
