He was married to his surviving wife, Pauline, for 69 years. They lived in Maryland with their family until 1974 when they retired to Florida. Arthur was a family man. He was dedicated to his wife and children. Arthur was very caring for people in general and always did whatever it took to help someone in need. He was a servant and a provider. Arthur was also a very talented magician and enjoyed entertaining children and adults alike.

He had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior shortly before he retired. After moving to Florida, he became very active in numerous ministries as part of Calvary Assembly in Winter Park, as well as Full Gospel Business Men. Later in life, Arthur ministered to many by a publication he wrote entitled “Solomon’s Porch,” distributed both as a newsletter and electronically.
