She was born in Keene, NH, on March 28, 1927, the daughter of Mary Elizabeth (McCartney) Olson and Judge Arthur Olson.

She taught English, French, and Latin at the Keene Junior High School for thirty years. She also served as the Drama Coach and was named "Most Popular Teacher of the Year" for five years in a row.

She was born and raised in Keene, attended Keene schools, and received a Bachelor's Degree in English from Keene State College. She later moved to Fremont, NH, to be near her family, and for the past 9 years lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Londonderry, helping to help take care of her great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed reading, frequently visiting the local Barnes and Noble bookstore to buy books and crossword puzzles. She loved feeding the birds. And she loved her dog, Poco. She was an avid sports fan.

She was a member of the Keene Country Club, St. James Episcopal Church in Keene, and later a member of St. Margaret Mary's Church in West Keene. She was a member of the Women's Club in Venice, FL. She and her husband wintered in Venice, FL, and summers were spent on Newfound Lake in NH or at Wells Beach in Maine, her two favorite places in the world.

She is survived by her son, Joseph A. DiMeco, Jr. and his wife Joy of Goodyear, AZ; her daughter Susan and her husband Jeffrey of Londonderry, NH; grandsons Greg Arnold and wife Caroline of Tampa, FL; Ryan Arnold and his wife Shannon of Wakefield, MA; Matthew DiMeco; and granddaughter Kristina Anthony and her husband Peter of Londonderry, NH; five great-grandchildren: Aidan Arnold, Joseph Anthony, Alaina Anthony, Declan Arnold, and Eamon Arnold; and her beloved sister Jean Kinson of Fletcher NC, and many nieces and nephews.
