Audrey Marie Oyer was born in San Francisco, CA. on 26 November 1924 to Fred and Edna Asmussen. She had an older brother and an older sister whom she survived along with her parents. Audrey attended George Washington High School graduating in 1942. Concurrently Audrey met Dean L. Oyer then serving in the U.S. Navy and they were subsequently married on the 6th of December 1943 in San Francisco.

Following World War II Dean and Audrey lived in various California cities while Dean was attending college and Audrey worked in retail. Their first son George was born in 1945 and passed in 1999; a second son Martin was born in 1949, had two sons and a daughter, and passed in 2003.

The Oyers lived in San Diego from 1955 through 1979. During this period Audrey studied, developed and refined her skills in all phases of the needle arts while creating and donating clothing and artistic household furnishings to local churches and charities. Audrey was also an avid gardener and golfer during this period.

In 1979 Dean's work took them to the Northwest where Audrey continued her charitable work mainly on behalf of various Catholic churches in Washington State while also creating exceptional floral gardens at their domiciles.

In the year 2000 Dean and Audrey relocated to Sun City, AZ. Where Audrey continued her sewing art skills on behalf of local charities and the Church until she was stricken from a series of falls in 2017 which ultimately resulted in her passing from their debilitating effect on 16 January 2018.

Throughout her life Audrey Marie Oyer attended to and honored her extended family members while exhibiting unlimited love, strength and selflessness that will live forever in the memories of her husband Dean, her family and her friends.
