Audyess D. Johnson Epps, LA Funeral services for Audyess Duckworth Johnson 81, of Epps, LA will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the New Hope Church of God Church west of Darnell, LA with Rev. Ronnie Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 4-6 PM at New Hope Church of God. Interment will be in the Unity Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Audyess was born in Epps, Louisiana on July 5, 1936 and attended and graduated from Epps High School where she led the girls basketball team to a State Championship during the 1951-52 school year. She worked for AT&T in Mesquite, Texas as a Layout Operator for over twenty years before retiring. Married three times, Jeep Clack, Zelma Dooley and Phillip Johnson, all now deceased, she raised three children Neal, Jack and Laruel along with three grandchildren Leah, Shawn and Mandye after her younest son, Laurel died in a car wreck in 1990. Ms. Johnson is preceded in death by her parents, James Thedford Duckworth Sr. and Myrtle Lee Guice Duckworth; two brothers James T. "Pete" Duckworth Jr. and Doyle "Cooter" Duckworth and a son Laruel Dooley. She is survived by two Sons Walter N. Clack (Debra) of Memphis, Tennessee and Jack T. Clack (Karlene) of Epps, Louisiana; seven Grandchildren Joseph Dischner (Lorie) of Memphis, Tennessee, Leah D. Sykes of Delhi, Louisiana, Walter N. Clack Jr. (Aaron) of Epps, Louisiana, Shawn C. McDevitt of Forest, Louisiana, Christina M. Clack of Memphis, Tennessee, Steven Clack of Epps, Louisiana and Mandye Butler (Matthew) of Yuma, Arizona; 12 Great-Grandchidlren; 1 Great-Great Granddaughter and numerous Nieces and Nephews all of whom she loved with all her heart. Pallbearers will be Lee Duckworth, Joseph Dischner, Walter Clack, BJ Duckworth, Steve Clack, Shawn McDevitt, Taylor Sykes and Josh Jinks. Cox Funeral Home Delhi
